Business Tips – Making your message work.

Most businesses spend a lot on advertising and marketing. They need to attract consumers to their store, phone number or web/social sites. So here are 3 things to keep in mind.

  1. Make the message meaningful. What are you offering? What would bring them in? New price? Hot product? A better way to deal with customers? Every message needs a clear benefit. By clear, I am referring to consumers. Will they understand your message within a few seconds? Do they want what you are offering?
  2. Focus your message. A message should be simple. The offer should be obvious. Then focus it everywhere – radio, TV, social media. It is so hard to break into the consumers minds. You need a simple, compelling message to do so.
  3. Understand the difference between a CTA and branding. A call to action (CTA) is designed to get response. Branding is designed to bake the brand into a consumer’s mind for long-term benefit. It eventually leads to a better response from a CTA. Too many businesses advertise their brand without a CTA. They then wonder why no one responded. You need the ‘what’s in it for the consumer’ to get the response.
